Chris Froome Giro 2023

Chris Froome begins 2023 season with no thought of retirement

Four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome is starting his 2023 season at the Tour Down Under in Australia with no thought of retirement.

Froome, who has won seven Grand Tours, is entering his 13th season as a professional cyclist. He has not won a race since 2018, but he is still one of the most recognizable riders in the world.

In an interview with Cyclingnews, Froome said that he is still motivated to win races and that he believes he can still be a contender in the Grand Tours.

"I'm still hungry to win races," Froome said. "I still believe that I can win the Tour de France. I know it's going to be difficult, but I'm willing to put in the work."

Froome's return to racing comes after a difficult few years. In 2019, he crashed heavily at the Criterium du Dauphine and suffered a career-threatening injury. He returned to racing in 2020, but he was not at his best. In 2021, he joined Israel Start-Up Nation, but he again struggled to find his form.

Despite his recent struggles, Froome remains one of the most popular riders in the world. He has a large following on social media, and his fans are eager to see him back on the podium.

Froome's return to racing is a good sign for the sport of cycling. He is a true champion, and his presence in the peloton will make the races more exciting.
