Chris Froome Set for 2023 Tour de France After Team Handed Wild Card Entry

Chris Froome Not Selected for Tour de France 2023

Seven-time Grand Tour winner Chris Froome will return to the Tour de France in 2023 after his team, Israel-Premier Tech, was handed a wild card entry. The 38-year-old had missed out on automatic selection for the race after failing to perform consistently in the early part of the season.

Froome has won the Tour de France four times, the Giro d'Italia once, and the Vuelta a España twice. He is one of only seven riders to have won all three Grand Tours. However, he has not won a Grand Tour since 2017 and has struggled with injuries in recent years.

Froome's return to the Tour de France will be a major boost for Israel-Premier Tech. The team has been struggling to make an impact in the WorldTour this season and will be hoping that Froome can help them to achieve some big results.

Froome himself is looking forward to returning to the Tour de France. He said: "I'm really excited to be back at the Tour de France. It's a race that I love and I've had some great success there in the past. I'm hoping to be able to perform well and help my team achieve our goals."

Froome will be working with a number of new teammates at Israel-Premier Tech, including former Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas. The two riders have a good relationship and will be hoping to work well together to achieve success in the race.
