Community Gathers to Celebrate a Life of Service
The community of Willow Creek is coming together to honor the life and legacy of Louise Muir, a beloved community leader and former POW/MIA.
Muir, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 92, was a tireless advocate for veterans and their families.
She was instrumental in establishing the Willow Creek Veterans Memorial and served as its president for many years.
A Life of Service
Muir's passion for helping others extended beyond her work with veterans.
She was a founding member of the Willow Creek Historical Society and served on the board of the Willow Creek Library for over 20 years.
She was also a volunteer at the local soup kitchen and homeless shelter.
Event Details
The event to honor Muir will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at the Willow Creek Community Center.
The event will feature a keynote speech by retired Š³ŠµŠ½ŠµŃŠ°Š»-Š¼Š°Š¹Š¾Ń John Smith, who served with Muir in the military.
There will also be a performance by the Willow Creek High School choir and a presentation by the Willow Creek Historical Society.
